2016 Volkswagen Touareg Design

On the outside, the 2016 Volkswagen Touareg comes with luxurious features that set it apart from the competition. Highlights include dual chrome-tipped exhaust tips, a hands-free Easy Open liftgate, Bi-Xenon high-intensity headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and Adaptive Front-lighting system, and 18" Arica alloy wheels. The luxury continues inside with V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, a 60/40-split folding rear seat with fore and aft sliding adjustments and a 3-stage adjustable backrest, and 8-way power-adjustable front seats. This is truly a vehicle built with comfort in mind!

2016 Volkswagen Touareg Technology and Safety

Tech-wise, the 2016 Volkswagen Touareg comes with a ton of features, including Bluetooth connectivity, a Rearview Camera System, SiriusXM Traffic with 4-year subscription, and the incredible RNS 850 premium touchscreen navigation with 8-inch color display, 3D landmarks and a 60 gigabyte harddrive. Passive safety features include Side Curtain Protection head airbags in the front and rear, a reinforced safety cage construction, and an available Lane Departure Warning with the Driver Assistance package. Active features also include Anti-Split Regulation, a rollover sensor system, and Electronic Stability Control.

 

2016 Volkswagen Touareg Performance

Two engines are offered with the 2016 Volkswagen Touareg. First is the 3.6-liter V6 FSI engine with 280 horsepower and 266 pound feet of torque, achieving 32 miles per gallon highway and 17 city. Also offered is a 3.0-liter V6 TDI, with 240 horsepower and 406 pound feet of torque, achieving 29 miles per gallon highway and 21 city. Standard is a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system with an eight-speed automatic transmission featuring manual gear control, Sport mode and Dynamic Shift Program technology.
